]I really wanted to watch the Samford-Chattanooga game this past weekend but it wasn't available online. Actually it was online on ASN. This is different from ESPN3 which is where all Mercer's home games are available and different from SDN which had the Mercer-VMI game online. I got to the Samford UTC game through the Samford web site. See SoCon web site with TV/Online schedule here: www.soconsports.com/SportSelect.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=4000&SPID=1781&SPSID=21890

High for Saturday has been revised to only 68 degrees with a wind out of the northwest at 12 mph. Still clear, sunny, and 0% chance of rain. Morning low is forecast in the upper 40's for the early arrivals.

This came out yesterday afternoon: www.samfordsports.com/news/2014/10/1/FB_1001143530.aspx?path=footballNot many seats left and will be selling SRO. We've had over 10,000 in the stadium a few times, so there is space, but if you don't already have a seat, you may want to bring along a bag chair. Also, later arrivals will probably be directed across Lakeshore to the Track and Soccer Field parking areas. It's not a bad walk and also a good place to set up large tailgate groups. With the expected numbers of folks on campus Saturday, the SamfordPO may not be as lenient for blocking off spaces for others. When Appy State visited the first time, SU encouraged all of their folks to park across Lakeshore, but we were expecting a couple of thousand of them.

Samford ticketing is showing the game as a complete sell-out now (with the exception of 7 handicapped seats).
So...for Mercer Fans that don't have tickets...
I'm getting from the Samfordians on here (and elsewhere) that, even though the game is 'showing' as "Sold Out," people will still be able to walk-up, buy tickets, and find a seat on some grass somewhere inside the stadium.
Is that correct?

Is that correct? That would be correct. General Admission Standing Room Only tickets for $18, gets you in the gate and can either spread a blanket or open your bag chair. If anyone has kids, find them a good size piece of cardboard and they can slide down the hill to their hearts' content. As with some previous Family Weekend and preview day games, the crowd thins out tremendously after the first or second quarter, so they can get home at a decent hour.

I'm guessing the odds makers will think more carefully about making the Bears 20+ point dogs in the future LOL. That's twice this year we have blasted the spread. Shout out to the D for keeping us in this one. I'm sure there are some collective "wows" in Chat, Chas, and Spartanburg this morning.

I was a bit surprised that not only did about half the crowd leave at halftime but most of the students left too.
